DU confers PhD on Khondaker Showkat

Dhaka University (DU) has conferred PhD degree on Khondaker Showkat Hossain for his thesis titled "Reflection of Permanent Settlement in the Novels of Bangladesh (1947-70)", reports BSS.
In a recent meeting, the DU syndicate decided to confer PhD on Khondaker Showkat, said a press release.
Mohammad Moniruzzaman and Syed Mohammad Shahed were his supervisors while Swapan Basu of West Bengal was one of the examinees of his thesis.
