DU Ga-unit readmission test held peacefully

DU Correspondent An examinee was held during readmission test of Dhaka University (DU) 'Ga-Unit' under Business Studies Faculty Tuesday as he took a mobile phone with him to the examination centre. The candidate named Shahidul Islam roll number 335577, was held from Sheikh Borhanuddin College centre by invigilator Mahmudur Rahman and was handed over to Bongshal Thana police later. The university authority claimed that the examination was otherwise held peacefully. DU pro vice chancellor, also the convener of the admission test Prof Harun-or-Rashid said that the candidate was caught by the invigilator during the admission test and we increased vigilance after the incident. DU admission office sources informed that a total of 37,980 students appeared at the readmission test for 980 seats.
