DU holds seminar on Charyapad

Charyapad is the root of Bangla literature as it is the carrier of the nation's glorious history, culture and tradition, Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique told a seminar Thursday.
The DU VC laid emphasis on preserving the valuable scripts with all modern technologies, terming Charyapad as the most precious asset of Bangla literature.
DU Bangla Department orgainsed the seminar, celebrating hundred years of unearthing of Charyapad, at the university's RC Mojumder auditorium.
Department teachers Syed M Shahed, Monsur Musa and Mohibul Aziz presented papers on the first keepsake of Bangla literature at the seminar with DU Pro-VC Harun-ar-Rashid as the special guest and department Chairman Abul Kashem Fazlul Huq in the chair.
