Tuesday, 16 October 2018

The results of 'Gha' unit admission test for the first-year honours courses of Dhaka University (DU) under the 2018-2019 academic session were postponed on Monday amid allegations of question paper leak, reports UNB.
The DU authorities issued a press release saying that publishing of the results was postponed as per the directives of Vice Chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman.
The VC said, "An allegation has arisen over DU 'Gha' unit question paper leak. A probe committee has also been formed to look into the matter."
On Saturday, the university authorities formed a three-member probe committee to investigate the alleged entry tests question leak of 'Gha' unit under the Social Science faculty.
Fourteen images of handwritten question papers of Dhaka University's 'Gha' unit entry test were spread on social media around 9:17am on Friday, 43 minutes prior to the beginning of the exam.
After scrutinising the images and the original question paper provided at the exam halls, it was found that 72 MCQ questions (19 in Bengali, 17 in English and 36 in general knowledge section) were matched.
