DU, RCSC ink MoU to promote nuclear science education

Dhaka University (DU) and Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote nuclear science education and Russian language and culture.
DU Treasurer Prof Dr Md Kamal Uddin and Director of RCSC in Dhaka Alexander P Demin signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at the university Thursday.
Among others, DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique, Deputy Head of Federal Agency of the Russian Federation Prof Alexander G Chesnokov, Third Secretary of Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bangladesh Elena Nikolicheva, Science Faculty Dean DU Prof Dr Md Yousuf Ali Mollah and Chairman of the Department of Nuclear Engineering Prof Dr Khorshed Ahmed Kabir were present on the occasion.
Under the deal, Russian Centre of Science and Culture (RCSC) will provide opportunities to DU students for higher education specially on nuclear science education in Russia.
They will also provide training programmes on Russian language and culture for DU students in RCSC and in the universities in Russia. Besides, RCSC will arrange seminars, workshops and cultural shows on regular basis at DU.
