DU signs MoU with Japanese university

Dhaka University signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Rikkyo University of Japan Thursday with the objective of establishing and promoting academic exchanges and research programmes between the two institutions, says a press release.

Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor SMA Faiz and Rikkyo University (RU) Vice-Chancellor Kasahara Kiyoshi signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions at a function held at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban of DU.

DU Pro-Vice Chancellor A F M Yusuf Haider, Professor Osamu Abe of the Graduate School of International Communication of RU, Dean of DU Science Faculty Tajmeri SA Islam, Professor ABM Farook, Registrar Syed Rezaur Rahman and Naseer Uddin Jamadar of the Graduate School of Social Design Studies of RU were present on the occasion.

Under the MoU, both the varsities will promote and develop cooperation for the uplift and progress of academic and research activities and exchange of teachers, researchers and students between the two. The universities will also exchange publications, materials and information under the MoU.

SMA Faiz thanked the RU VC Kasahara Kiyoshi for signing the MoU with DU.
