DU student found dead in SM Hall

Police recovered body of a Dhaka University (DU) student from its Salimullah Muslim Hall on Monday afternoon in the presence of Hall Administration authorities. His body was found hanging from ceiling fan.
The deceased Monju Sheikh, student of Bangla Department of 2016-17 academic session, hails from Gopalganj. He was also a resident student of the room number 165 of the hall, Dr Md. Iqbal Rouf Mamun, Provost of the hall, confirmed.
DU Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr Md. Akhtaruzzaman said that they would investigate the incident.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) morgue for an autopsy, he said.
