DU, SU sign MoU

A Memorandum of Understandings (MoU) was signed between Dhaka University (DU) and Saskatchewan University (SU) of Canada Monday to promote academic and scholarly collaboration progrmmes between the two universities. DU Treasurer Mijanur Rahman and Vice-President (Research) of SU Dr Karen Chad signed the MoU on behalf of the respective institutions at a city hotel Monday. Commerce Minister M Faruk Khan, DU Vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique, Premier of Saskatchewan Brad Wall, Chairman of Saskatchewan Pulse Growers Murray Purcell were present at the signing ceremony. Under the MoU, the institutions would get opportunity to exchange faculty members, post-doctoral fellows, students, researchers and staff between the respective universities. As part of the MoU, they would also exchange information of important scholarly initiatives undertaken by the respective campus communities.
