DU teacher accused of teasing female student

The academic committee of the Department of Persian Language and Literature of Dhaka University (DU) temporarily relieved a teacher of the department from academic activities for his alleged involvement in sexual harassment of a female student. The decision was taken Sunday at an emergency meeting of the committee following a written allegation of the victim to the department. The committee also sent the papers of allegations to the higher authorities of the university. Chairman of the department Mohsin Uddin Miah said the accused Dr Abu Musa Arif Billah has been found guilty in the preliminary investigation.
