DU teacher mugged on campus

A Dhaka University (DU) teacher was mugged on his own campus on Thursday evening. Mass communication and journalism department teacher Dr Sudhangshu Shekhar Roy he was going to the TSC on a rickshaw around 7:15pm. ‘When I reached in front of the Centre for Advanced Research in Social Sciences on the campus, 2 young men, equipped with guns, swooped on me. They snatched Tk 2,000 from me at gunpoint,’ he said, adding ‘the snatchers also took away some important document that I was carrying when the incident happened,’ according to a news agency.
