DU teacher suspended over tampering marks

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have suspended Azharul Islam, assistant professor of the Department of Law for allegedly tampering mark sheets. The decision was taken at a syndicate meeting held last Tuesday.
The action was taken against the teacher after the allegation was primarily proved against him, said DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Arefin Siddique.
He also said a five-member probe committee has been formed to look into the allegations that the teacher provides marks to students at his will, according to UNB.
