DU to stage biomedical physics exhibition today

Biomedical Physics and Technology Department of Dhaka University (DU) will stage a research exhibition today (Wednesday) marking the 94th founding anniversary of the university, reports BSS.
The exhibition will take place at Curzon Hall from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm, a statement of the department said on Tuesday.
The statement said almost 80 per cent of the global population living in the Third World is deprived of the benefits of modern healthcare technology.
Under the leadership of Prof Rabbani the new department has been striving since its initiation in 2008 to bring healthcare technology to the doorsteps of the common people at affordable cost, it added.
Of course, the efforts have been going on since 1978 at the Department of Physics. The exhibition presents a few of these developments.
