DU violence in 2007JS body recommends action against Fakhruddin, Moeen

A parliamentary body approved its probe panel's recommendation for action against former chief adviser Dr Fakhruddin Ahmed, ex-army chief Moeen U Ahmed and four others for their 'involvement' in the 2007 Dhaka University violence, reports UNB.
The four others are ex-DGFI officers ATM Amin and Fazlul Bari, Col Shams and former IGP Nur Mohammad.
The 5th subcommittee, formed by the parliamentary standing committee on Education Ministry to investigate the August, 2007 Dhaka University violence, submitted its report with 13 recommendations and 11 observations today.
The report was approved by the committee in a meeting with its chairman Rashed Khan Menon in chair.
Committee members Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid, Whip Mirza Azam, Kazi Faruq Quader and Md Shah Alam were present.
