DUCSU VP candidate Jalal gets bail in attempt to murder case

A Dhaka court has granted bail to Jalal Ahmed, Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) independent vice president (VP) candidate, in a case filed on the charges of attempting to murder his roommate at a residential hall, reports BSS
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order following a hearing on Thursday.
The court heard both sides and granted bail on a bond of Tk. 5,000, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prosecution Mainuddin Chowdhury said.
Earlier, on August 27, Shahbagh police arrested VP candidate Jalal and produced before Chief Metropolitan and sought to send Jalal in jail until completion of investigation into the case.
