The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Foundation Bangladesh has once again been granted a Full Licence Certificate by The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, authorising it to administer The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award throughout Bangladesh for a further period of five years, from 2025 to 2030.
The Licence Certificate was presented to Rizwan Bin Farouq, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Foundation Bangladesh, by Martin Houghton-Brown, Secretary General of The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation, during the Asia Pacific Regional Conference held in Hong Kong on Thursday.
The awarding of the Full Licence followed a comprehensive compliance assessment undertaken by The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award Foundation. The review examined a wide range of quality assurance standards and operational criteria, including legal and structural viability, safeguarding and risk management, target demographics and pastoral care, administrative and operational capacity, as well as financial sustainability and leadership commitment.
Upon successfully meeting these stringent international standards, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Foundation Bangladesh was granted the Full Licence Certificate, reaffirming its status as the authorised National Award Operator in Bangladesh
