The initiation ceremony of the newly elected executive committee (2009-2011) of Feni Samity, Dhaka was held at the city's Diploma Engineers’ Institution on Friday.
Some 1006 members of the Samity had elected the committee by casting their votes on November 22 in 2008. Feni Samity had started its journey from January 4, 1985.
Mustafizur Rahman Dulal, director of NCC bank, was elected president and Gani Ahmad general secretary of the committee. The executive committee has 29 members. Information and cultural minister Abul Kalam Azad was present as chief guest at the function and praised Feni Samity for its positive role during country's crucial moments like cyclones and floods.
