DUMCJAA seminar on nat\\\'l broadcast policy

Dhaka University Mass Communication and Journalism Alumni Association (DUMCJAA) organised a seminar on ‘National Broadcasting Policy’ at Prof Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury Auditorium of Social Sciences Faculty Building on DU campus on Saturday. DU vice chancellor and chief patron of the DUMCJAA Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique attended the seminar as the chief guest. Prof Dr Sheikh Abdus Salam of the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism presented the keynote paper. Presided over by President of DUMCJAA Md Alamgir Hossain, Supernumerary Professor of the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism Dr Shakhawat Ali Khan, Chairman of the Department of Television and Film Studies Dr AJM Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan, President, BFUJ & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baishakhi Television Manzurul Ahsan Bulbul, former secretary and former CEO of Jamuna Television Abu Alam Shahid Khan participated in the seminar as discussants while Mafizur Rahman, Prof of the Department of Mass Communication & Journalism acted as moderator. Speaking at the seminar DU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique stressed on establishing an independent Broadcasting Commission comprised of able professionals who can contribute in flourishing mass media in the country, according to BSS.
