Durga idols vandalised in Faridpur

Some miscreants vandalised four idols of Hindu gods and goddesses at a household temple at Garua village at Bhanga Upazila in Faridpur on Sunday. Witnesses said a gang of miscreants attacked the house temple at dead of night and vandalised four idols constructed for the upcoming Durga Puja, the biggest festival of the Hindu community. Expressing frustration over the incident, local Hindus said they will not be able to make the idols again before the Puja for both, shortage of fund and limitation of time, according to a news agency.
