CHITTAGONG, July 27 (BSS): Industries Minister Dilip Barua today said the duty structure of cold rolled steel in coil (CR Coil) and hot roll steel in coil (HR Coil) would be balanced from this fiscal year in order to protect the interest of country's steel industries.
He said the government would take proper steps to keep running the CR coil manufacturing industries in the country.
The minister said this while visiting NGS Steel Industry Limited (NGSSIL) in city's Pahartali area this evening. He said the duty structure between the two types of coil has 31 per cent gap.
"This difference would be balanced from this fiscal year after discussion with the finance minister," he added.
Chairman of NGSSIL Noni Gopal Shaha, Managing Director Ashit Kumar Shaha, and Director Ashot Kumar Shaha were, among others, present during the visit.
