E-filing to make offices paperless: Quader

Communication Minister Obaidul Quader has said that introduction of electronic system would make offices gradually paperless. Besides, it would improve transparency and accountability of government offices. The minister was inaugurating the e-filing system at the Ministry of Communication in the city on Monday afternoon. ‘Henceforth the Road Division would start filing electronically’, Quader announced. Initially, five sections of the division would be involved in the new process. They are: maintenance, administration, estate, discipline and ICT. The project is being implemented with assistance of the access to information (a2i) programme of the prime minister’s office. The minister said the new system would make receipt and dispatch quick and easy, according to a news agency.
