e-GP training for bidders begins today

A training for the tender participants, suppliers and consultants registered with the e-GP system begins in the city today (Sunday), said a press release. The training will be held at Dohatec office at 43 Purana Paltan Line. The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) has outsourced the e-GP training to Dohatec New Media Ltd. The CPTU is implementing the e-GP under the Public Procurement Reform Project-II supported by the World Bank. The four target agencies under the project such as LGED, REB, BWDB and RHD already publishes their e-tender notices on the e-GP system. Until November 26, 2011, a total of 248 bidders, 37 procuring entities and over 300 branches of seven scheduled banks have been registered with the e-GP system. The CPTU has developed the national e-GP web portal (www.eprocure.gov.bd). The piloting of e-tender is now going on at the target agencies and CPTU of the IME Division. The CPTU has a target to train about 1000 bidders and initially the one-day free of cost training for the registered bidders begins today. The training will continue in phases with about 25 to 30 bidders in each batch. For any query, the bidders have been requested to contact online e-GP helpdesk (helpdesk@eprocure.gov.bd).
