e-GP training for bidders begins today

A training for the tender participants, suppliers and consultants registered with the e-GP system begins in the city today (Sunday), said a press release. The training will be held at Dohatec office at 43 Purana Paltan Line. The Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) has outsourced the e-GP training to Dohatec New Media Ltd. The CPTU is implementing the e-GP under the Public Procurement Reform Project-II supported by the World Bank. The four target agencies under the project such as LGED, REB, BWDB and RHD already publishes their e-tender notices on the e-GP system. Until November 26, 2011, a total of 248 bidders, 37 procuring entities and over 300 branches of seven scheduled banks have been registered with the e-GP system. The CPTU has developed the national e-GP web portal (www.eprocure.gov.bd). The piloting of e-tender is now going on at the target agencies and CPTU of the IME Division. The CPTU has a target to train about 1000 bidders and initially the one-day free of cost training for the registered bidders begins today.
