E-Service centres being launched in districts

GAIBANDHA, Nov 15 (BSS): A function on the inauguration of District E-Service Center and the celebration of one year completion of Union Information Service Center through video conference of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was held at the conference room of Deputy Commissioner (DC) in Gaibandha on Monday. Deputy Commissioner M. Shahidul Islam attended the function as the chief guest and Police Super Bashudev Banik was present as the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, DC M. Shahidul Islam in his speeches said from now the people of the district would get different types of official services including land related documents through district E-Service Center promptly. The persons would not have necessary to come to DC office any more for their services killing the valuable times and expensing money, he said adding that they could get their desired services of the office easily through sending e-mail from any union information service centers of the district. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Kamal Uddin Biswas, Additional District Magistrate Mahmud Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev) Hamidul Islam, Civil Surgeon Dr. Shahidul Haque and Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture Extension AH Bazlur Rashid and other district level officials, political leaders, social workers including local journalists were present on the occasion. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in presence of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon on Monday afternoon inaugurated the epoch-making digitization of the service system provided by the district administration in all sectors of districts across the country. After the telecast programme was over an official of the District Administration showed the techniques on the multi-media about how to file applications to the DC from anywhere of district through internet. It was also shown how the people will get land related documents through E-Service without any hassle. People will also be informed the position of their wanting through SMS. Rajshahi E-Service center has been launched in the Deputy Commissioner's office in Rajshahi on Monday aimed at making the civic services to public doorsteps for building digital Bangladesh 2021. The launching ceremony was hosted by district administration marking the inauguration of the countrywide districts E-Service Center and first anniversary of Union Information Service Centers at the conference room of DC office. Now any information relating to the Deputy Commissioner's office, irrespective of where it is being sought from, is just a click away through e-mails, said Rajshahi DC Abdul Hannan. When an SMS to 16345 is sent, a return SMS will notify information seekers about the state of his desired application, he added.
