Earthquake jolts Dhaka, other parts of country

A 5.5-magnitude earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including the capital, at 7.13pm Wednesday evening.
"The quake was felt in Dhaka, Sylhet, Chattogram and other parts of the country," Golam Mostofa, an official of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department told BSS.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Mawlaik in Myanmar, about 439km east of the Dhaka city. No casualties or damage were reported immediately.
