Earthquake jolts parts of country

A 4.8-magnitude earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rangamati and Khagrachari districts, at 2:45pm today, reports BSS.
The epicentre of the earthquake was in Mawlaik in Myanmar, about 442km south-east of Dhaka, according to the website of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
However, no casualties or damage were reported immediately.
Earlier, another 5.5 magnitude earthquake jolted different parts of the country, including the capital, at 7:13pm on May 29.
