Eastern Lubricants Blenders approves 15pc dividend

The 39th annual general meeting (AGM) of Eastern Lubricants Blenders Limited approved 15 per cent cash dividend for its shareholders for the year that ended on June 30, 2007.
The AGM was held at the company's main installation at Guptakhal in Chittagong. Chairman of the company's board of directors and Chairman of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) Anwarul Karim presided over the AGM, said a press release.
The AGM also approved the audited financial statements for the year.
Member of the board of directors and BPC Director (Marketing) Md Taherul Islam, BPC Director (Operation and Planning) Syed Mojammel Hoq, Managing Director of the company AJ Khan Chowdhury and Company Secretary M Mahfuzul Haque were also present in the AGM.
Chartered accountants firms M/s Rahman Rahman Haq and M/s Basu Banarjee Nath & Co were re-appointed joint external auditors of the company for the year 2007-2008 in the AGM.
