Ebadot hopes to return to cricket before T20 WC

Sunday, 14 January 2024

Bangladesh fast bowler Ebadot Hossain expressed a strong desire to play the upcoming T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA in June by making him fit enough to play as faster as he can, reports BSS.
The fast bowler has been in grueling rehabilitation at this moment following a knee operation in London in last July after which he has been out of the action.
In this period he missed the ICC Cricket World Cup along with many International fixtures of Bangladesh.
"I hope to return before the World Cup and I am confident about this," Ebadot told the reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city on Saturday.
A few days ago, the medical department of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) though hinted that Ebadot won't be able to make it to the T20 World Cup in June.
"I am very hopeful to make a return to the cricket as early as it is possible. The rehab has been going on very well. The biggest thing is the way the medical department is supporting. I feel I have been getting my strength back quickly. I am running on the sand field and doing strength training. I hope I will get something good in return," he said, oosing with confidence.
While his teammates are busy preparing for the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Ebadot is fighting to return from injury, which is quite disappointing from a player's perspective.
But Eabdot refrained him from being lured to make return in a hurry.
The pacer, who became Bangladesh's pace bowling hero after leading the side to landmark Test win on New Zealand soil, wants to return to the cricket after being fully fit.
"I am not in a hurry either. The process I am following, works well for me. I had both legs and muscle measured yesterday and it was fine. I in fact have been, recovering very well. It seems that the results of the hard work will be fruitful."
Ebadot himself does not feel good while sitting like this during the World Cup. Therefore he is keen to make a comeback before the T20 World Cup.
"They are bowling, playing matches and seeing it is always difficult for a player. When I saw my colleagues playing, it allures me to play. But I am trying my best to make myself fit ahead of the T20 World Cup."
