EBL, ALZHEIMER SOCIETY join hands TO train DEMENTIA CAREGIVERS
Eastern Bank (EBL), in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Bangladesh (ASB), has launched a scholarship programme for the development of skilled dementia caregivers in Bangladesh under its corporate social responsibility initiative. EBL Company Secretary Md. Abdullah Al Mamun handed over a cheque to ASB General Secretary Md. Azizul Haque at EBL head office recently. Under the agreement, 20 underprivileged youths will receive full scholarships to undertake the NSDA-approved "Dementia Care (Level-3)" course. The six-month programme comprises 360 hours of professional training aimed at developing skilled home-based dementia caregivers.
