EBL gets new DMD

Safiar Rahman, FCS, SEVP and Company Secretary has recently been promoted to Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL), said a statement.
He has been associated with EBL as Company Secretary since 2002.
Rahman started his career as Probationary Officer in the-then BOL, a British MNC. Afterwards, he joined ICI Group, another British MNC which was renamed ACI Group in Bangladesh as Chief Accountant. He has worked in important positions in many other local companies including some NBFIs and local conglomerates. He was also the General Manager, SunMan Group.
He has over three decades of experience in the field of Finance/Accounting & Corporate Affairs.
He graduated from Rajshahi University in Commerce. With a background in Chartered Accountancy, he became a qualified Chartered Secretary in 1997. Currently, he is a Fellow Member (FCS) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh.
