EBL holds workshop on Anti Money Laundering, KYC

Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) organised a day-long workshop on 'Anti Money Laundering (AML)' and 'Know Your Client (KYC)' at Spectra Convention Centre in the city Saturday. The workshop mainly focused on various areas of anti-money laundering and related new rules and regulations. says a press release.
Eastern Bank Managing Director-cum-CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar inaugurated the workshop.
In his inaugural speech, Iftekhar mentioned the importance of AML and KYC in everyday banking activity. He also asked the senior personnel of the bank to give importance to the compliance area of the bank.
Standard Chartered Bank's Head of Legal and Compliance MAQ Sarwar and Bangladesh Bank General Manager (AML) M Mahfuzur Rahman conducted the session.
EBL Deputy Managing Directors Mukhlesur Rahman and Mamoon Mahmood Shah were also present in the workshop.
