EBL launches SIMPLE Credit Cards' today

Eastern Bank Limited (EBL) with a slogan 'One Life, One Card' launches 'EBL SIMPLE Credit Cards' from (today) Sunday offering 'Double Benefit Insurance Coverage' to the cardholders.
The 'EBL SIMPLE Credit Cards' will be available in four versions including Gold and Classic for local Currency, and Gold and Classic for dual Currency.
The SIMPLE Credit Card offers balance transfer option. Any cardholder, on matching pre-requisites, can transfer his/her other Bank Credit Card outstanding balance to 'EBL SIMPLE Credit Card' at 22 per cent per annum compared to a market average of 30 per cent, said Ali Reza Iftekhar, managing director of EBL, speaking at a press conference in the city Saturday.
Besides, he said 'EBL SIMPLE Credit Card' offers zero renewal fee option for the first time in Bangladesh if a cardholder transacts at least 18-times in a year.
Toufiq Hassan Rupu, head of cards, Md Musa, acting head of consumer banking, Mahabbat Hossain Chowdhury, head of strategy, and Nazim Anwar Chowdhury, head of marketing, were, among others, present at the press conference held at Dhaka Sheraton.
EBL SIMPLE Credit Card applications will be available in all EBL Branches from July 1, 2007. Interested persons has been requested to SMS to 01819 278800, and the EBL Cards Sales Team will contact for next steps.
