EBL opens women entrepreneurs' cell at Dhanmondi

Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) has opened a Women Entrepreneurs' Cell under its SME Banking division on its Dhanmondi branch premises to support growing women entrepreneurs' business needs.

EBL Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of SME Banking Muklesur Rahman inaugurated the cell through a simple ceremony Sunday.

He handed over the first women entrepreneur business loan 'EBL Mukti' to Shahana Quader, proprietor of the renowned boutique house Motif.

EBL Managing Director and CEO Ali Reza Iftekhar, DMD Mamoon Mahmood Shah, high officials of the bank and customers were present at the function.

Starting its journey in 2006, EBL SME Banking is offering six lending and one deposit products for the customers which are available in its 17 SME Centres across the country.
