EBL publishes Tax Pocket Guide

To make individual tax computation easier for customers and to promote a tax compliant culture, Eastern Bank Ltd. (EBL) has published a 32 page mini size Tax Pocket Guide. The handbook incorporates important provisions of the Income Tax Ordinance, 1984 as amended up to Finance Act, 2014. The EBL Tax Pocket Guide was jointly unveiled by the Chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Md. Ghulam Hussain and Managing Director and CEO of EBL Ali Reza Iftekhar at a press conference held at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel today. Abdul Quayum, Associate Editor, The Prothom Alo and Ziaul Karim, Head of Communication, EBL also spoke on the occasion. The handbook provides information about who need to submit income tax return, Tax computation, allowable investment, personal tax rates, rate of tax for vehicles, sample of tax return form. instructions about how to fill up the return form etc, according to a statement.
