The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Director Prof Dr Mahmudur Rhman said Thursday that we should not be much worried about Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) as, according to the World Health Organisaion (WHO), Bangladesh is a 'low risk' country, reports BSS.
"There is no chance of being Ebola infected if anyone does not come in direct contact with an Ebola infected person's vomitus, secretions, blood," he said at a workshop for the journalists at IEDCR auditorium.
"We have all the preparations," he said , adding "We can detect any suspect and investigate and collect sample," he said.
IEDCR, the national disease monitoring arm, is keeping a close watch on Ebola situation and has already started conducting training for the rapid response team members, health care providers and nurses.
