EC dialogue with 16 political parties begins Sept 6

The Election Commission (EC) has drawn up a detailed scheduled for dialogue with 16 political parties, beginning next Saturday (September 6), for discussing the party-registration process, reports UNB. brUnder the agenda, the commission has formally invited the political parties to attend the dialogue by giving appointment to BNP on September 7, Jatiya Party (JP) and Jamaat-e-Islami on September 8 and Awami League on September 9. brMeetings have been scheduled on September 6 (Saturday) with Bangladesh Workers Party at 1030 am, Bangladesh Samyabadi Dal (ML) at 1130 am, Gonotantri Party at 1230 pm and Jatiya Party at 200 pm. brOn September 7 (Sunday), meetings will be held with the Communist Party of Bangladesh at 1030am, Bikalpo Dhara Bangladesh at 1130am, Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dol (Inu) at 1230 pm and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at 200 pm.brOn September 8 (Monday), meetings will be held with Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) at 1030 am, Islami Oikya Jote at 1130 am, Jatiyo Party (JP) at 1230 pm and Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh at 200 pm.brOn September 9 (Tuesday) meetings will be held with Krishak Sramik Janata League at 1030 am, Jatiyo Samajtantrik Dol (Rob) at 1130 am, National Awami Party (Mozaffar) at 1230 pm and Bangladesh Awami League at 200 pm.brChief Election Commissioner ATM Shamsul Huda Thursday said the commission would sit for dialogue with political parties from September 6 to settle some objections being raised over the party-registration process.
