EC meeting on UZ polls security Feb 6

The Election Commission (EC) will sit with the top brasses of law enforcing agencies on February 6 to finalise the security measures for the 4th countrywide upazila elections, beginning on February 19. Top officials of the Armed Forces Division, Police, Rab, BGB and Ansar will be present at the meeting to be presided over by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmad. The meeting will discuss the reports of different intelligent agencies and suggestions of law enforcing agencies over the security arrangements for the upcoming elections, according to a news agency.
