The Election Commission (EC) again plans to hold dialogue with the registered political parties soon for bringing some amendments in the newly enacted Representation of People Order (RPO) and discuss some issues of the Parliamentary and Upazila polls, apparently as certain complications arose, reports UNB.
"We'll again sit in a dialogue with registered political parties to discuss some necessary amendments to the RPO that was passed by Parliament," Election Commissioner Brig Gen (retd) M Sakhawat Hossain told the journalists Thursday at the EC secretariat.
Without elaborating, he said the commission is going to sit in dialogue with the political parties, as some sections of the RPO might have to be amended. "We'll discuss which sections of the RPO would be included or excluded," he added.
