EC to decide on UZ polls schedule Sunday

The Election Commission (EC) will hold a meeting on Sunday to decide on the schedule of upcoming Upazila Parishad polls, reports UNB.
EC Deputy Secretary (Establishment) Shahedunnabi Chowdhury called the meeting through a letter on Wednesday.
Sources at the EC said the commission will hold its 45th meeting at 3:00 pm at the Chief Election Commissioner's office to have talks about reserved seats and decide on the schedule of the 5th upazila polls.
EC Secretary Helaluddin Ahmed on January 10 said the polls will be held in phases starting from the first week of March.
