EC to unveil final voter list August 31

The Election Commission (EC) would publish final voter list on August 31 after conducting all necessary revisions in the run-up to the 13th parliamentary election.
Besides, the commission will release a draft voter list on August 10.
The EC made the disclosure in a press release signed by Md Shariful Alam, director (public relations) of the EC Secretariat, on Monday.
The release further said a supplementary voter list of the registered voters who were born on January 1, 2007 or before will be published on August 10.
On the same date, a list of deceased voters will also be made available to omit the names.
"The supplementary voter list of registered voters whose birth date was on or before January 1, 2007 and the list of deceased voters for the purpose of deletion of voters will be published on August 10," reads the statement.
The EC further said there would be scopes for the individuals concerned to submit applications for inclusion or correction until August 21, following the publication of the supplementary voter list, inclusion of eligible persons, removal of names of persons who are deceased or ineligible for inclusion, transfer of voters and correction of any inclusion or error.
"The final voter list including the supplementary list will be published on August 31," said the EC statement.
