ECNEC approves 11 projects worth Tk 16.35b

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) Tuesday approved 11 development projects involving about Tk 16.35 billion (1,635 crore) including Tk 2.29 billion from Japan Debt Cancellation Fund (JDCF). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also ECNEC chairperson, presided over the ECNEC meeting in the NEC conference room. The projects include "Procurement of equipment for search and rescue operation for earthquake and other disasters (revised)" under Food and Disaster Management Ministry, "union linkage road construction and infrastructure development project: Greater Mymensingh (Mymensingh, Tangail, Jamalpur, Sherpur, Kishoreganj and Netrakona districts)". — UNB
