ECNEC approves mega project for BR

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved a mega project for Bangladesh Railway (BR) to set up two dual gauge double rail tracks from Akhaura to Laksam aiming to develop rail communication. The approval came from the ECNEC meeting held at the NEC conference room in the city's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar with the ECNEC Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, according to a news agency.
