ECNEC nods 9 projects worth Tk33.74b

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council has approved nine development projects worth 33.74 billion (Tk3,368.63 crore). Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal disclosed the matter to reporters on Tuesday. He said, ECNEC, the highest policy-making body of the government, at a meeting on Tuesday, gave the nod to the nine projects involving a cost of Tk33.74b. The meeting was held at the NEC’s conference room with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, he said. Of the cost of the nine projects, Tk23.82b (Tk2,379.31 crore) would come from government exchequer, he added, according to a news agency.
