Ecnec okays 11 projects involving Tk 70.17b

The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) has approved 11 projects involving more than 70.17 billion (Tk 2,935 crore). The projects include construction of some 556 cyclone shelters to help save the lives of the people of 9 coastal districts and their property from natural disasters. The approval came from an Ecnec meeting held in the NEC conference room with Ecnec chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair, according to a news agency.
