ECNEC OKs Tk 8.53b transmission line for supplying power to Dhaka

The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved Ashuganj-Bhulta Transmission Line Project for sufficient power supply in Dhaka city. The 400 KV transmission line involving Tk 8.53 billion (853.68 crore) will supply power through Rampura 230/132 KV power sub-station. Under the project, there will be a 70 kilometre Ashuganj-Bhulta 400 KV dual circuit transmission line, Bhulta Haripur-Rampura 230 KV dual circuit line-in and line-out of 3 kilometre, Bhulta Ghorashal-Rampura 230 KV dual circuit line-in and line-out of one kilometre and construction of a Bhulta (Narayanganj) 400/230 KV, 2x250 MVA AIS substation. ECNEC chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting, according to a news agency.
