Eco toilets in city soon

Eco toilets, from where the human wastes will be converted into fertilizer, are being set up shortly in Dhaka city. This was announced by LGRD Adviser Anwarul Iqbal at a press briefing on the eve of launching the International Year of Sanitation, National Hand Washing Campaign and Observance of the World Water Day-2008 on March 22. Iqbal said the proposed Eco toilets are environment-friendly, cheaper and its by-products are useful for farmers. —UNB
