Economic progress satisfactory

Says Dr Salehuddin

Finance Adviser Dr  Salehuddin Ahmed has said overall progress and achievements of the country's economy are satisfactory, reports BSS.
"Bangladesh has struggled for more than 53 years, and we've faced various challenges at different periods. But, despite all the challenges, we've achieved many remarkable progress, which I should say are milestones," he said.
The Adviser also said, "We've already graduated from lower-middle-income country status and are currently on the way to be graduated from the Least Developed Country status to a developing country,"
The Adviser made the  remarks while speaking at a programme online titled "Empowering Bangladesh: Pathways to Leadership, Unity, and Growth", at North South University here today. The inaugural event brought together national leaders in governance, diplomacy, economic development, and youth empowerment.
Salehuddin said Bangladesh's progress has been possible due to the efforts of successive governments and the people.
