EC's dialogue with political parties begins today

The Election Commission (EC) will sit for a third round of dialogue with 16 political parties from today (Saturday) to talk out objections regarding their registration that has been made mandatory for contesting the general election, reports UNB.brAmid the latest developments on the political front, the EC has invited the BNP faction loyal to Khaleda Zia and led by its new secretary general Khandaker Delwar Hossain in the fresh round of dialogue on behalf of the factious immediate-past ruling party.brUnder the agenda, the Commission has formally invited the political parties to attend the dialogue by giving appointment for BNP on September 7, Jatiya Party (JP) and Jamaat-e-Islami on September 8, and Awami League on September 9. brMeeting schedulesbrSeptember 6 (Saturday) - Bangladesh Workers Party at 1030am, Bangladesh Samyabadi Dal (ML) at 1130am, Ganotantri Party at 1230pm and Jatiya Party at 200pm; brSeptember 7 (Sunday) - Communist Party of Bangladesh at 1030am, Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh at 1130am, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Inu) at 1230pm and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) at 200pm;brSeptember 8 (Monday) - Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) at 1030am, Islami Oikya Jote at 1130am, Jatiya Party (JP) at 1230pm and Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh at 200pm; andbrSeptember 9 (Tuesday) - Krishak Sramik Janata League at 1030am, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Rob) at 1130am, National Awami Party (Mozaffar) at 1230pm and Bangladesh Awami League at 200pm.br
