Edn sector witnesses big development: Tofail

BHOLA, May 9 (BSS): Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed said Saturday massive development has taken place in country's education sector during the tenure of the present government.
"Our education system has advanced much more than Pakistan's," he said speaking as chief guest at a function at Bhola College to accord reception to meritorious students and inaugurate newly- built academic building of the college.
The commerce minister said a modern auditorium would be built at Bhola College and all problems solved gradually.
He said the 92-day hartal-blockade of BNP hampered the studies and examinations of students. "BNP leader Khaleda Zia has no sympathy. She killed people with petrol bombs," he added.
Presided over by Bhola College Principal Professor Parveen Akhtar, the function was attended by Bhola Deputy Commissioner M Selim Reza, Upazila Parishad Chairman Mosharaf Hossain, Municipality Mayor Mohammad Moniruzzaman Monir, noted businessman Mainul Hossain Biplob and district Awami League organising secretary Zahirul Islam Nakib, among others.
