Education with other life-supporting training

It is very common to see guardians to be worried about good result of their kids. They become proud when they know their son/daughter has stood first in exam. Many guardians neglect the development of other skills in their kids. They really need to help their kids learn life-supporting skills and inspire them to take part in extracurricular activities for their balanced growth.

How to inspire the kids to learn various life skills so that they can survive better? They should be continuously inspired to develop such important skills. They can be inspired to do physical exercise and meditation everyday. Physical exercise and meditation will make them physically and mentally fit and they will be interested in new things. Otherwise, they might be reluctant to learn new skills. Kids need to learn basis skills such as washing and ironing cloths, cooking, shopping etc. Learning these will inspire them to be self-reliant. Many guardians show too much affection towards their kids and do not want them to do such works, but this ultimately causes harm to them.

They also need to be inspired to take part in extra-curricular competitions, both sports and cultural. Participating in such competitions will create competitive mind in them.

They should be encouraged to mix with people of different classes of the society. This will help them understand people better and during their working life, they can mix with various classes more smartly.

We must make our family environment very friendly and democratic. We can arrange weekly meetings in our families and inspire our kids to actively participate in them. We can discuss family issues in those meetings. This will help them to be friendly and behave nicely with other people. Whatever good things we will learn from our families will last long.

Balanced growth is what our kids need most for success and survival. Only doing good in the exam will not help them unless they learn basis life skills and take part in extra-curricular activities. If they learn to grow in balanced manner, they will apply balanced judgment in their professional life.
