Educational appliances distribute to poor students

KUSHTIA, Mar 21: The Welfare Association of Kumarkhali upazila distributed educational appliances among poor and bright students of high schools here Friday morning.
The chairman of BRB Group Industries Ltd. and industrialist Alhaz Mozibur Rahman was present as chief guest while the Executive Secretary of the Welfare Parishad Abul Kashem Masud was present as special guest in the function. The meeting was presided over by its chairman Robiul Huq.
Text books of different classes, sewing machines, cash, agricultural appliances and school uniforms were distributed among students, farmers, destitute women and freedom fighters in the function.
A total of 120 students received text books and uniforms, three farmers received agricultural appliances, three weavers and a freedom fighter were given cash and a rickshawpuller received a rickshaw in the function.
A discussion meeting was also held in the same venue earlier where UNO of Kumarkhali upazila Nuruzaman was present as chief guest and industrialist Abur Rouf Biswas presided. Teachers of various schools and colleges addressed the meeting.
