Effective law against human trafficking underscored

RAJSHAHI, Dec 7 (BSS): Discussants at a participatory consultation here Tuesday underscored the need for formulating an effective law against human trafficking, particularly the women and children.
Besides, they recommended concerted efforts of all government and non-government organisations (NGOs) concerned together with the public representatives to prevent the crime.
Terming the human trafficking as a heinous crime they laid stress on forging a social movement to raise a strong voice for freeing the society from the social crime.
The divisional level consultation on the Draft Comprehensive Law against Human Trafficking was organised by Association for Community Development (ACD) under its Actions for Combating Trafficking-in- Persons Programme at Nanking Darbar Hall in Rajshahi Tuesday.
